Meet the rest of the family. . .
From a rescue centre, Mickey was my first experience of a sociable cat. He talked to me, bathed with me, slept with me, followed me around - he would even come with us to the corner shop or the park, and brought friends (other cats) home to play. When I described his behaviour to friends they told me he sounded like a Tonkinese and so I came to look into this fantastic breed.
Minnie - a pregnant stray brought home by Mickey. Failing to find her owner we ended up keeping her and all five of her kittens. Sadly we have only two left now due to a congenital disease.
Minnie was very much the boss until recently but Buzz (Arietta) has taken over so Minnie is currently feeling quite put out.
Ash is one of Minnie's daughters and my son's cat.
Ash was tiny at birth and needed some help to survive but she recovered well and takes no nonsense now.
Angel, Minnie's other daughter, is the shy member of the family. She much prefers to be away from the other animals, and is usually found sitting in the window watching the world go by.
Indiana - Neighbours of my parents couldn't find a home for this nervous little kitten, the last of their litter, and so obviously he had to go home with me.
My partner was pretty horrified when I arrived home with another cat. Indiana clearly sensed this and set about selling himself. They soon bonded and he is officially now known as my partner's cat.
Freedom - Our Labrador Cross, from a rescue centre, is a real cat lover. He likes to lick or play with the cats and even tries to make a purring noise and sit on your lap - in fact he probably thinks he is a cat!
Freedom is pictured here with my elder daughter, his best friend.
Cleo, a King Charles Cavalier, belonged to my partner when we met. When they first moved in Cleo thought cats were for chasing, but my cats soon put her right on that score as you can see.
My youngest daughter's gerbils Zaphod (left) and Zak (below). They spend a great deal of time rerouting their tunnels through a tank full of wood-shavings in her room, in blissful ignorance of the number of felines in the rest of the house.
Coke and Lolly are our two rescue bunnies. Coke (the black boy) is very much shyer than Lolly (black and white girl) who jumps all over him keeping him firmly in his place.
Gypsy is my daughter's puppy, a springer spaniel, brought home from the rescue centre where she works.
Despite his tough start in life he is an incredibly sweet natured pup; full of bounce and eager to be friends with everyone, yet gentle in his approach so none of the cats feel threatened by him.
As you can see Gypsy and Freedom are great buddies.

Time to update this very out-of-date page.
This is Rosie a CPL rescue that we fell in love with and had to keep...
...and this is Tango another CPL rescue that we fell in love with...
...and these are Echo and Calypso two more CPL rescues, brother and sister half burmese kittens, who we fell in love with. This is becoming a bit of a habit.
This is Madrigal (Maddie) who is a Ragdoll Blue Colourpoint which I have longed for for a very long time and I think will be our final cat for some time now as the current count is ten.
A pic of some old and some new cats who have taken over the dogs bed.
